Web Design
New Sites -
My goal when creating your web site is to get to know you and your company so that you get a web site that is uniquely you.
I’m committed to working with you in a one-on-one relationship to ensure that your web site design meets and exceeds your expectations. All of the sites I create are designed to be user friendly and search engine ready.
In order to have a web site that brings results, two elements are crucial: the visual layout and the marketing message. There are many web design companies in the marketplace that are only good at just the first part, web design. As my skills do not only lie in web design, but in marketing as well, your site will be designed with search engine marketing in mind. Your web site should be used as an extension of your marketing message.
A site that is nicely designed is good but without quality content it’s just another pretty site. I help you develop a site that is visually appealing and that relays your marketing message clearly to your customers/client in order to bring you maximum results.
Redesign -
Is your site under-performing or worse yet, not performing at all? Instead of giving up your web presence, most likely all it needs is a facelift and some restructuring of your marketing message. By updating your site and doing a little Search Engine Optimization you’ll notice a definite improvement in the results that your web site will produce.
I follow the same design process for redesigning and SEO as I do for new sites. I’ll review the site with you to get a feel for what is working and what isn’t and then help you come up with a plan to revise the areas that are failing to bring you results.
Content Management Systems -
I design almost all of my new client sites utilizing Content Management Systems (CMS).
A CMS is a web application with two parts: (1) a database that stores your content and (2) a server-side scripting language that retrieves and ‘serves’ the content to your web browser.
It will allow you to edit your content via a control panel that doesn’t require programming expertise on your part. If your company or organization makes frequent changes to your web site content (and you should!) you will find that the advantages of a CMS are necessary for your business site:
* Avoid maintenance fees by updating your own web site
* No waiting for your designer to update the content when it is convenient for him/her.
* Fresh content as often as you like, 24/7/365
* Flexible content placement
* Add unlimited pages
* Many options available as add-ons, including Events Calendar, Site Search, Photo Gallery etc.
* Ability to start a community/user based environment, have users contribute to the content of the site to help it grow.
If you have a site already but would like the benefits a CMS can bring, I can convert your existing site for you. Contact me to find out how.
